Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the 19th Annual Stone Soup Music Faire and Festival will
take place Saturday and Sunday, August
27 and 28, 2011 at the Ramona
Garden Park in Grover Beach!
It’s estimated this year’s Festival will
draw thousands of people from all over the
Central
Coast
and state. People of all
ages will enjoy the variety of entertainment the Stone Soup Faire offers. Musicians will be performing all
day Saturday and Sunday. Including this year’s headliner group, “Ten Mile Tide”!

entertainer Merrie Mary.
People who
attend the 19th Annual Stone Soup Faire will also enjoy shopping at a
wonderful variety of booths featuring items from around the world as well as
tasty international food, wine and beer, crafts and more.
Again this
year, the Stone Soup Festival will be kicked off with the 23nd
Annual “Dune Run-Run”, a 5K/10K walk/run
which will be held on Saturday morning at 9 am.
Pre-register
for the Dune Run-Run by downloading a registration form from the City of Grover Beach website and
mailing it to; 154 S. 8th Street, Grover Beach, CA 93433. Or, register on the day of the event at 8:00
am. The Dune Run Run will begin and end
at the Ramona Garden Park Center where everyone can enjoy the Stone Soup Festival.

The Stone
Soup Festival will also feature a Youth Expo both days at the Exploration
Station (located right next door to the Ramona Garden Park). There children will enjoy “hands-on” fun. Other
activities for children at the Stone Soup Festival will be story telling
sessions and the “Merrie Mary” Show
featuring juggling and acrobatics.
New this year at the Stone Soup
Festival will be the Isabel Ruiz Health Faire which will be held
on Sunday instead of Saturday as in year’s past. The free Health Faire
in the Ramona Garden Park Pavilion on Sunday,
August 28th, will be held from 12:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. Various non-profit
health organizations will offer free screenings for glucose, blood pressure,
cholesterol and more. Free health information will also be available at the Stone
Soup Health Faire.
Another
schedule change this year, the popular Salsa Contest will be held on Saturday
instead of Sunday and will be held in the Ramona Garden Park
Pavilion. Local restaurants and individuals who would like to participate in
the Salsa Contest will need an entry form. Please contact The Chamber of Grover Beach by telephone or email.
Sponsorships for the Stone Soup Festival are still available. Businesses can sponsor the event at various levels. Booth spaces are also available for merchants and food vendors to rent.
